Weekend beach fest kicks off at Marassi Al Bahrain

Marassi Al Bahrain – whose beachfront Sales Centre recently opened to the public – kicked off a series of weekend events this Friday with an array of free activities for visitors.

The outdoor lifestyle area hosts Bahrain’s first food-truck court offering international and local flavours from independent businesses, plus a state-of-the-art children’s play area on a scenic 300m beach, that will span 2km once complete. 

The Sales Centre was inaugurated by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the first residential launch of Marassi Residences were launched shortly after.

The celebrations will run for two months, and include a host of activities for the whole family every weekend. Activities commenced this weekend with stand-up-paddle-boarding, kite surfing, kids craft activities, an ocean-themes art and photography exhibition. 

The coming weekend holds even more fun, with CrossFit, yoga, Pilates, kite surfing and more children’s activities including camel rides, face painting, magicians, balloon artists and sketch cartoonists. Open-air markets will also be held on the beachfront with local vendors exhibiting their wares. All activities are free of charge.

“Marassi Al Bahrain’s Sales Centre beach is beautiful, clean and modern, and we opened an invitation this weekend for visitors to come and enjoy the white sands, good weather and free of charge activities,” said Diyar Al Muharraq CEO and Marassi Al Bahrain Managing Director Dr Maher Al Shaer said.

Marassi Al Bahrain, spanning 864,000sqm, will be constructed on the northern shores within the master-planned community of Diyar Al Muharraq, forming a
key luxury component of Bahrain’s largest private urban project.  

Set to become one of the Kingdom’s major  shopping, family entertainment and dining destinations, the high-end shopping mall, with 178,000sqm of gross floor area, will attract the world’s leading brands, many for the first time in Bahrain.
