Mubarak wins sixth round of Audi Quattro series

Bahrain national team player Hamad Mubarak (33 stableford points) won the sixth round of the Audi Quattro Cup qualifying series at the Royal Golf Club, with Naeem Ullah Khan (31) Khan clinching the runners up spot.

Close behind in third was Matthew Deakin (30) with Barry Hobday winning the nearest the pin side contest on the seventh hole. More than 60 competitors turned out for the tournament which was open to both members and visitors with valid handicap certificates. After six rounds played, Arnaud Robert (192 points) sits at the top of the series Order of Merit and close behind in second is Rob Lane (191) with Steven Hill (186) in third.

Competitors have just two more rounds to play before the finals are held on April 15 and all players will have the opportunity to discard their lowest round score after round nine with the top two order of merit winners going on to represent Bahrain as one of the 60 teams competing in the prestigious World Finals.

The next leg of the Bahrain series is set for February 27.
