Four jailed for attacking police station

Four defendants accused in connection with attacking a police station have been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

They were also ordered to pay a combined total of BD300 for the damage they caused to the police station. 

According to the court files, the Bahrainis were among 30 men, who pelted the station with firebombs and paint bottles in an attempt to murder police officers. The fence of the police station was damaged and the  police patrol was attacked. 

The involvement of the four accused in the incident has been established by police investigation. They have been charged with attacking a public property, rioting, possessing firebombs and participating in an unlawful gathering.
