Husband impotent, woman granted divorce
Manama
The High Sharia Court has yesterday accepted the divorce plea of a woman accused her husband of impotence. The plaintiff claimed in her lawsuit that her husband had failed to have sex with her during their four-year-long marriage without ‘giving any reasons’.
The man, however, argued that he was committed to do all his duties as a husband, alleging that he never had fell short in his obligations towards her. But eventually a medical test has confirmed that the woman is a virgin, proving her impotency claims against her husband.
“After a medical treatment failed solve the problem, he began to lose his temper quickly and started abusing her for no reasons,” Lawyer Ibtisam Al Sabagh wrote in the indictment.
The woman’s father and brother earlier appeared in the court supporting her claims.
The husband earlier filed a complaint against his wife after abandoning him. He claimed that he was a ‘perfect husband’ to her and tried with all the possible means to convince her to come back. However, Mrs Al Sabagh requested the court to reject his lawsuit.
