Parties invited to Olympic Day

Ministries and companies have been invited to take part in the 2015 Olympic Day, due to take place on June 12 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
This year’s Olympic Day is organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) as Bahrain joins other countries from around the world to celebrate this special occasion.
This was declared following the second preparatory meeting, which was attended by representatives of the private sector, relevant ministries and the BOC at the committee premises in Seef.
They discussed latest arrangements to prepare for the occasion, including a number of sports and entertainment activities to be staged at the venue, as well as a short video in Arabic and English to promote the event.
Olympic Day is celebrated all over the world on June 23 every year, but the Bahrain Olympic Committee decided to hold it 11 days earlier as it clashes with the Holy Month of Ramadan.
It will be held under the patronage of the personal representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
