Vitara 2016 … a new look

Mohammed Jalal and Sons, the sole agent of Suzuki cars in Bahrain, has launched the brand new Suzuki Vitara 2016 in  Kingdom at a ceremony held at City Centre Bahrain.

 The exterior

The hard-to-ignore front end of the car features two attractive LED lights. Connecting them is an impressive chrome lined grille which holds in its centre the big “S” logo of “Suzuki”. 

Below the chrome grill is the bumper that houses two big air vents and fog lamps. Further adding to the aesthetics is the two back-lights that shine like a diamond at the rear. 

The new Vitara also enjoys a unique body structure which provides the vehicle greater stability and enhanced rigidity.

Absence of sharp corners, strengthens its aerodynamics, which is clearly evident from the front bumper and side mirrors styling. 

Roof line which slopes towards the rear and the bottom flat body enhance and complement each other for a powerful and sporty performance.

The Vitara comes in 15 different colours. Three of them are totally new: the “orange”, “white ivory” and the “turquoise”. 

The interior

The interior redefines cabin comfort and driving intelligence with a high level of finish which is also more  youthful. Dashboard features a round clock and a plastic board which is offered in more than one colour to reflect your style. 

Despite the presence of the  low roof line, the back seat can easily accommodate three adults. Sunroof is optional. It is about 1 meter in length and is an absolute pleasure for all occupants.   

Vitara uses a 7 inch touch screen which integrates controls for the sound system. Smart phone applications are available when connected to the system.

Performance

The all new Vitara comes with a 1.6 litre four-cylinder petrol engine beneath the bonnet which can generate around 120 horse power and is extremely efficient when it comes to fuel consumption. 

Vitara can accelerate from zero to 100 Km/h in 11 seconds, and generates  maximum speed of 180 km/h.

The gasoline engine is mated with a 6-speed automatic gear box.

The new Vitara also enjoys  the “ALLGRIP” 4WD system developed by the Japanese company  for its “S- Cross” model. 

The system has four driver selectable modes designed to maximise road grip and reduce running costs: Auto, Sport, MudSnow and Lock. 

“Auto” mode focuses on  minimum fuel consumption, while “Sport” mode provides better engine response. “Snow” provides optimal control on slippery and unpaved roads.  “Lock” mode is designed to generate better traction when the car get stuck in sands or mud.      

Besides, Suzuki has added “RBS” System making  driving lot easier and more relaxing. The system uses a special radar which constantly monitors the road and warns the driver when any object get closer to the car. Auto breaks will be activated to prevent any expected crash. The optional Adaptive cruise control (ACC) system perfects RBS with its cruise technology. 

Vitara comes with free registration and insurance, free five years warranty, unlimited kms- free one year road assistance and a courtesy car during repair.
