Raise awareness against terror: PM

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has urged to take the initiative and raise awareness on the gravity of practices such as violence and terrorism, which are alien to the Bahraini society.

“Bahrain has never known strange practices such as violence and terrorism. The country has always been referred to as an oasis of security and safety,” he said in a meeting with senior state officials at his Palace in Riffa yesterday.

“Let those who call for practices that are unknown for the citizens of Bahrain be confident that the Bahraini Society, which is committed to coexistence by its very nature, will remain fortified against terrorism, violence and discord,” he remarked. 

HRH Premier reviewed with the officials a number of local and international issues. He said that the politicization of some areas that had been until recently far from polarisation would affect the role of politics as a means to enhance rapprochement among cultures, civilisations and people within a framework of fair competition. 

HRH the Prime Minister also urged to make the achievement of public interests of the Kingdom the ultimate goal of everybody, at the local, regional and global levels. He stressed the need to put aside narrow private interests, which, he said, would negatively affect efforts to attain achievements. 

HRH Premier discussed with the officials the cohesion, solidarity and coexistence prevailing in the tightly knit one family Bahraini society.
