Man blame Satan for molesting Asian woman
Manama : Closing arguments will be heard on March 8 in the trial of a 32-year-old Gulf national who blamed Satan for molesting an Asian woman.
The defendant is said to have slapped the buttocks of his victim and asked to have sex while she was walking on a public road.
He also made obscene gestures to her with his hands, and pedestrians intervened to push him away. But he attacked two men with a sharp object, before pelting stones on a third man’s vehicle while it was occupied by children.
The incident left one of the men with wounds in his neck, while the second man lost his conscious after his nose bled.
The defendant was arrested later, but denied making any offense. “While I was walking, the Asian woman said something that I didn’t understand. I then crossed paths with her. Then she became angry, and unfortunately Satan fooled me and I molested her. I apologised to her, but she didn’t accept it. Thus I plead pedestrians to help me,” he told prosecutors. He has been charged with assault and molestation.
