Traffic police arrest 105 illegal taxi drivers
Director of Traffic Operations and Control at the General Directorate of Traffic announced the arrest of 105 illegal taxi drivers of different nationalities.
They were referred to the Public Prosecution and the court sentenced them to up to one month in jail and BD1000 fine, while non-Bahrainis were deported.
He said that the department continues to monitor such violation that risks the livelihood of registered Bahraini taxi drivers. He said that the department will continue to organize campaigns in cooperation with security directorates and concerned authorities to take action against violators
