Pakistan Embassy to ease ID card renewal system
Manama : Pakistan Embassy is one step closer to easing the ID card processing procedures for the Pakistani community in Bahrain, said new Pakistan Ambassador to Bahrain Javed Malik while addressing a reception on the Pakistan Club premises Friday night.
He highlighted the benefits of switching over to the smart solutions for renewal of credentials, including the ID cards.
“The necessary infrastructure to ease procedure of applying for the national identity cards is already in place and soon will be rolled out for the expatriate community in Bahrain to enjoy the new efficient system,” the ambassador said, adding that the embassy is considering installing terminals in the Club to share the workload.
The reception, which was attended by the wider segments of the community, was also addressed by Mohammed Sajid Sheikh, Head of the Asian Traders Committee at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). He welcomed the Ambassador and thanked the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for sending the right person to Bahrain as Pakistan’s new Ambassador.
“Malik has a vast experience in diplomacy and especially in investment and trade. This will add new dimension to the existing ties between Pakistan and Bahrain,” Sajid, who is also Executive Director at the BCCI Board, said.
The Pakistan community, Sajid said, is anxious to bolster ties with Bahrain in all vital sectors, including trade and investment.
Pakistan Club Chairman Mahmood Rafique Chaudhary in his address welcomed the new Ambassador.
“The Pakistan Club, whose history spans over many decades, has been pivotal in serving the community and helping to strengthen the mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain,” the Chairman added.
