Illicit drug case: Closing arguments on March 3
Manama : Closing arguments will be heard on March 3 in the trial of three Iranians, who have been captured consuming illicit drugs.
The trio, who include a cook, a manager and an employee, were arrested following a tip-off to the anti-drugs department at the Ministry of Interior. It was revealed that one of them was in possession of opium that was ready to be sold nationwide.
He was arrested, and the other two Iranian men were later captured after further investigations. Police seized cash and illicit drugs from them during a raid in their houses.
The trio are standing trial before the High Criminal Court and they have entered a not guilty plea.
