Government will optimise achievements, maintain usual living costs

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has recalled with appreciation the national work pioneers and their patriotic efforts to enhance the kingdom's advancement and progress.

The government will continue its effort to achieve the standards of living that meet the citizens' needs, and will spare no effort to maintain the usual levels of the costs of living despite the current economic challenges, HRH Premier affirmed while receiving some Royal Family members of senior state officials at the Gudaibiya Palace today.

HRH Premier reviewed with the audience domestic and international issues.

HRH Premier recalled the crucial patriotic role played by the forefathers and their contributions to Bahrain's progress and development throughout history, stressing that they set the example in dedication in the service of the nation for the successive generations.

"We are proud that we have a glorious past that proves the rich history of our people," he said, adding that "the renaissance and progress boom currently witnessed by the kingdom could not have been achieved without the dedication of successive generations of Bahrainis who have placed the top national interests above all priorities."

HRH the Prime Minister asserted that preserving the hard-won national gains and achievements and optimising them require all social segments to join ranks and rally together behind the ultimate goal of achieving the nation's development and progress.

"The rapidly-unfolding developments in the region surrounding us should by no means distract us or affect our determination to achieve the best for our nation and people, relying on our cohesive people whose members are highly aware and resolved to bring about the highest level of achievements for the nation," he said.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to deepen the values of communication and cohesion binding the members of the one Bahraini society, and thwart the efforts of those seeking to sow the seeds of divide, affirming that security and stability are essential pre-requisites to preserve the national achievements in various fields.
