Saudi pan-Arab efforts part of history

ManamaHeaping encomiums on Saudi Arabia for its initiatives to fend off threats to the Arab nations, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said Saudi Arabia’s efforts to protect the Arabs and unify their stances would be recorded in history.

HRH the Prime Minister also commended the role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to deal with the current phase in the region, which requires exceptional cooperation. 

Prince Khalifa highlighted the sacrifices made by Saudi Arabia to ensure that Arabs enjoy security and stability, and no interference in Arab domestic affairs.

The Prime Minister made the remarks in a meeting with Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, MPs and Shura Council members, in the presence of a number of senior State officials at Gudaibiya Palace here yesterday.

During the meeting, Prince Khalifa stressed the government’s interest in ensuring the highest levels of Executive-Legislature cooperation to reach a consensus that serves the Kingdom’s long-term interests. 

“The government and the Legislative branch are partners in assuming their national responsibilities,” Prince Khalifa said, stressing that pushing the nation-building process and development are the guiding principles of every step taken by the two branches whose ultimate goal is the interests of the nation.

HRH the PM also underlined his constant keenness on following up the issues raised by the Legislative members, and directives to remove any obstacles facing their exercise of their monitoring and legislative roles.
