Bahraini IS jihadist killed in Syria: Reports

Manama

A Bahraini man fighting alongside terrorist group Islamic State (IS) has been killed in Syria, it has emerged. The man, nicknamed as Abu Talha Al Bahraini, was allegedly killed during the battle in the northern suburbs of Aleppo.

Several Twitter users, who are thought to be belonging to fighters in IS, have confirmed Abu Talha's death, but it's not yet clear how he was killed or against who he was fighting at that time.

Among those who mourned him was Mohammed Albinali, a senior Bahraini member in the extremist group, who tweeted  "I would like to convey you the news that Abu Talha Al Bahraini was martyred while he was fighting the northern suburbs of Aleppo".

He further tweeted that "He was killed while fighting, not fleeing the fray."  If the news of his death is valid, Abu Talha is the second Bahraini jihadist killed this year in war zones.

On January 28, DT News had reported that  19-year-old Bahriani Abdulaziz Al Jodar was killed while fighting alongside the terrorist group in Iraq. He detonated a car laden with explosives, targeting Iraqi security forces, according online reports.
