QQA reviews performance of educational institutions

ManamaThe Board of National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA) approved the results of the audit reports of public and private schools, vocational training institutions and a number of academic programmes besides the inclusion of two institutions to the National Qualifications Framework.

The QQA has agreed to the results of education and training institutions, which included performance results of 15 public schools, four private schools, 10 vocational training institutions, the follow-up visit to three training institutions, the results of four academic programmes review, audits of higher education institutions, the follow-up visit to a higher education academic institution programme. 

They also approved two institutions, one educational and the other training institute, based on the recommendation submitted to the Board of Directors of the QQA.

This came during the first meeting of the Board of Directors for 2016, which was held yesterday under Head of the Board of National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training, Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Fadhil.

During the meeting, they also went through the results of the previous five forums held in the period from November 2015 until February 2016. 

The resolutions issued by the Council will be forwarded to the Council of Ministers for approval.
