Aster hosts Senior Cardiac Consultant

Manama  : Bahrain's Aster Medical Centre is welcoming cardiovascular veteran Dr. R. Anil Kumar, visiting from Aster Medcity, India. 

This is in line with Aster’s proactive awareness initiative, which involves hosting renowned medical professionals from Aster’s regional medical centres to share their expertise on local health concerns.

During his official visit from March 1 – 3, Dr. Kumar, with over 23 years of experience will offer a one-credit Continuing Medical Education (CME) lecture and a public symposium. 

An expert in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology, Dr. Kumar specialises in advanced management of heart failure and preventive Cardiology at Aster Medcity, Cochin, India. 

The doctor is a Fellow member of American College of Cardiology, of Royal College of Physician (Edinburgh) and Gulf Heart Institute, apart from the fact that he is an examiner of MRCP(UK) international examinations. 

The public symposium, “Escape from Heart disease: The essentials of heart disease prevention”, will take place on March 1 at 8.30 pm at The Pakistan Club. Dr. Kumar will share the necessary preemptive steps considering cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in Bahrain.
