‘RCO’s efforts brought laurels to Bahrain’
Manama: Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the efforts of RCO officials had earned Bahrain the World Giving Index Award and the first place at the Arab level and 13 internationally.
He made the remarks yesterday in a meeting with RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, who briefed him about the organisation’s programmes and strategic development schemes as well as issues pertaining to boosting the welfare of the widows and orphans. Commending the Royal support and keenness on charity and humanitarian work, HH Shaikh Nasser praised the role of the RCO Board of Trustees in following up on the implementation of the organisation’s projects. He also noted the efforts of the organisation’s executive management and personnel in serving the Bahraini widows and orphans as well as the needy inside and outside Bahrain.
Dr. Al Sayed thanked His Majesty the King for his support to the RCO and HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for his encouragement to the organisation’s activities.
