King hails historic Bahraini-Saudi ties

Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al Rawdha Palace, Saudi King’s Advisor, Mecca province Governor HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal and King Faisal Centre For Research and Islamic Studies President HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal.

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa were also present.

Prince Khalid Al Faisal and his brother Prince Turki Al Faisal are on a visit to Bahrain to attend the inauguration of a main avenue named after late Prince Saud Al Faisal.

As directed by HM the King, the ceremony will be held today in a token of gratitude to the memory of late HRH Prince Saud Al Faisal in recognition of his historic and honourable stances in support of Bahrain and its people.

Prince Khalid Al Faisal and Prince Turki Al Faisal conveyed to HM the King greetings from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, wishing Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.

King Hamad also extended deepest greetings to Saudi King Salman, wishing the brotherly Saudi people further progress and prosperity. Prince Khalid Al Faisal and Prince Turki Al Faisal thanked HM the King for his initiative to name one of Bahrain’s main avenues after late Prince Saud Al Faisal.

HM King commended the honourable stances of Saudi Arabia, which reflects deep-rooted bonds of fraternity between the two countries.

HM King paid a posthumous tribute to the late leader and highlighted his pivotal role in advocating Arab and Islamic causes. HM the King also hosted a dinner banquet in honour of Prince Khalid Al Faisal and Prince Turki Al Faisal.
