Manama : The 45th International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO) Conference and Exhibition will open in Bahrain on March 21.

The Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD) is organising the three-day event under the auspices of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

IFTDO Chairman Mohammed Mahmoud Al Shaikh thanked HRH Premier for patronising the event. This is the second time Bahrain’s hosts IFTDO conference and exhibition, having first organised the event in 2002.

Al Shaikh stressed the importance of the conference, which, he said, provides an essential platform to exchange expertise and first-hand knowledge between leaders and decision makers in the field of training and human resources development.

“Human resources development is crucial to any public or private institution and companies to keep abreast of innovative ideas advocated by leading world experts,” he said.

The 2016 IFTDO conference will showcase local, regional and international success stories by senior officials and chief executive
officers.
