Bahrain road named in honour of the late HRH Prince Saud Al Faisal

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met their Royal Highnesses the Governor of the Makkah Region and the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, and Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, in Manama.

His Royal Highness welcomed their visit to Bahrain for this important occasion in which a prominent road in the Kingdom will be named after the late Saudi Foreign Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal. The ceremony comes as part of the Royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad to honour Prince Saud for his important life achievements and long-standing support to Bahrain.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness underscored the deep and long-standing ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, emphasising both countries’ mutual support towards shared goals of regional security and stability. In this regard, His Royal Highness noted the key role Saudi Arabia plays in countering all forms of terrorism and advancing regional development under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

His Royal Highness then extended his greetings to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, and offered his best wishes for the country’s further prosperity and development.

For their part, their Royal Highnesses Prince Khaled Al-Faisal and Prince Turki Al-Faisal expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, highlighting their support to further bolster ties across various areas. Their Royal Highnesses concluded by offering their thanks and praise for the naming of the road in honour of the late Prince Saud Al Faisal.
