HRH Premier cites dedication of MPs
Manama: Stressing that all criticism should be based on objectivity and national interests, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said any attempts to undermine the legislative body would not be allowed. “MPs are part of a constitutional branch that represents the citizens, who elected them by their own will. Therefore, that branch should receive all respect and appreciation,” HRH Premier reminded.
Prince Khalifa said that Bahrain had achieved a lot thanks to its parliamentary experience, noting that MPs’ dedication in the service of the nation deserves appreciation.
During a meeting with a number of MPs and Shura Council members yesterday, HRH the Prime Minister praised the existing Executive-Legislature relation. “It is based on a strategic partnership marked by past and future achievements. Cooperation between the two branches aims to achieve the economic and development goals set in HM the King’s National Project.”
President of the Supreme Judicial Council Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari and senior State officials were also present.
HRH Premier pointed out that the region is going through an unprecedented situation of instability that required concerted national efforts to deal with them in a comprehensive way.
On extremists’ activities, HRH Premier added that the Bahraini people are one family, and no one can separate its members.
