Bahrain to host eCommerce Forum/Exhibition

Manama : Under the patronage of Industry, Commerce and Tourism MInister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani the eCommerce & IT directorate in the ministry on Wednesday, March 30, will organize the third edition of the eCommerce Forum/Exhibition for commercial establishments 

Organized in cooperation with Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), the Strategic Partner and with our platinum sponsor, Gulf Petrochemical Industries CO. (GPIC), the event comes within the Ministry’s ambitious futuristic perspective in promoting creation of eServices in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to provision of support and assistance for trading establishments along with the small and medium sized ones and together with investors and businessmen in order to improve the performance of Bahrain’s electronic market which will enable the Kingdom to ascend to even better rankings in the global markets.

Thus, the Ministry has been keen to launch the event this year differently in order to suit local market needs and bridging the technological gap between local businesses with respect to electronic applications in the business and trading field and through spreading the awareness of how to safely transform to electronic transactions and promoting trust in them as well as overcoming the challenges they may face when going into this field as well as display of the best practices implemented locally and globally.

The event will be distributed upon three main discussion panels covered by elite pioneers of technical and legal expertise in the local region; those panels will be held in parallel with each panel focusing on its objectives and deliverables. The first panel will be focusing on the Cloud Computing and how to use them properly in businesses that will display successful cases, which shall help the participants compare the different ways they can benefit from this technology.

The second panel will address the eCommerce Regulations, in order to educate the user on the methods which can protect his activities when using the World Wide Web in various day to day functions and in particular the commercial ones which shall result to gain the required confidence in conducting electronic transactions in different eCommerce platforms.

The third panel will represent investment opportunities offered by electronic market place platforms solutions offered in a form of creative and innovative ways in the field of eCommerce by highlighting the successful live examples.

Furthermore, the forum will be accompanied by a mini exhibition for companies and related institutions from the public and the private sectors that are related in the field of eCommerce activities in order to transform businesses to eBusinesses, which shall enable those businesses to exercise its role in boosting the local economy.
