Man arrested at airport for theft in Saudi Arabia
Manama: An Asian driver was arrested at the Bahrain International Airport while attempting to travel to his hometown with a stolen credit card from his Saudi national employer.
The man is said to have arrived here in transit before heading to his hometown for holiday. But his employer, who was in Saudi, tipped the police officials here about the robbery and the defendant was arrested.
“After he left, I recalled that I forgot my credit card with him. Then I contacted a police station in Bahrain. He was arrested later,” the Saudi employer told prosecutors. The Asian man reportedly withdrew BD200 using the card.
