Iran core of all GCC problems: Bahrain MP

Iran is at the core of every problem the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are facing right now and there is no chance of the normalisation of relations with the Iranian government at the moment, said MP and Chairman of Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee in Parliament Abdullah bin Howail.

Speaking to DT News, he said that Iran was behind all the wars being fought in the Middle East from Lebanon, Syria and Iraq to Yemen.

He said that everybody is happy after Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries cut their ties with Iran.

“Bahraini and other GCC nationals always say that Iran never sent the gift of sweets to them, but the packs of bombs and ships of terrorists,” he said.

“If the Iranian Government changes itself in future and starts respecting its neighbours, including Bahrain and other GCC and Middle Eastern countries and moves out of Syria and Yemen, then they will consider that Iranians are serious to normalise relations,” Howail explained.

“Iran has also waged the propaganda war against Bahrain and other GCC countries through its more than 70 TV channels that keep on spreading false news about the Gulf. But now the GCC people have recognised the real face of Iran and they are not willing to believe anything that comes from the Iranian media. On the other hand, Iranian people know nothing about the Middle East and the world as the local media does not let truth come before their people,” he pointed out.

“Iran has tried to put its hand everywhere that is why no one respects Iran, not even Africa,” he said, “Iranian people maybe good, but the Iranian Government is not respected anywhere in the world, so it is in the benefit of Iran to stop interfering in the affairs of the Middle Eastern countries,” he alleged.

Bin Howail said Iran never helped its poor people, but instead always pumped money to support the terroristic activities in Iraq, which has become its station to promote the terrorist activities in the region.

“We don’t want anymore wars in the Gulf,” he stressed.

“What happened in Lebanon? Saudi Arabia gave them money and helped their armies and strengthened their defence, but still the Iranian people have power in Lebanon. So the Saudi stopped their aid and now the Lebanese have started saying that they are with the Arab countries. But if they are with the Arab countries why they sided with Iran and why Iran has so much influence on them?,” Howail queried.

“Arab countries like Iraq, Lebanon and Syria should wake up and stop listening to Iran. They should stand firmly with the Arab world instead of becoming a puppet in the hands of Iran. They should never give any chance to Iranians to come inside their homelands,” he
added.
