HRH Premier stresses use of technology in banking

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the importance of expanding the use of technology in banking services, reiterating support to Bahraini companies and their initiatives that contribute to adopting new visions that boost the financial and banking sector and streamline its activities and transactions.

HRH Premier made the statements while receiving the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Rasheed Al Maraj at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

HRH Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the innovative and creative Bahraini youth in various fields, including
the financial and
banking sector.

Bahrain has managed to become a leading regional and global financial and banking hub thanks to its open and flexible economic environment, advanced infrastructure, as well as highly-qualified human competencies, HRH Premier said.

Easy-Pay Company Founder and Board Chairman Jamal Al Hazeem extended, on behalf of the Board of Directors, utmost thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant support to national companies and investors in various sectors, lauding the Prime Minister’s sound directives and unwavering support to all efforts aimed at developing the financial and banking sector, the main driving engines of economic growth in the Kingdom.

He credited HRH Premier for the steady progress of the financial and banking sector thanks to his sound visions and interest in diversifying revenue sources and generating more job opportunities to the Bahraini job seekers.

Inventor of the “Easy” project Nayef Tawfiq Al Alawi lauded HRH the Prime Minister’s support to the private sector and the financial and banking sector and encouragement of ideas and visions that contribute to their development.

He noted that Easy Pay Company had created a financial payment network using live imprints such finger and hand imprints instead of the usual credit card, adding that Easy Pay is among the first companies in the world to use biometric payments.

He said the company had already registered its innovative payment method in the USA.
