Training for citizens urged

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has directed to put forward effective training plans that improve the citizens’ career abilities.

HRH Premier was speaking as he received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and newly-appointed Tamkeen CEO Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi here yesterday.

HRH Prince Khalifa asserted that the government would continue adopting initiatives that support the business sector and motivate it to launch commercial and investment projects that add value to the national economy.

HRH Premier highlighted the government’s keenness on implementing multiple strategies to deal with the challenges currently faced by the labour market and the private sector so as to support them and steer them from the impacts of the global economic developments.

In this regard, HRH Premier urged Tamkeen to play a “more influential, effective and pivotal” role in the economic development arena.

He lauded the role played by Tamkeen in increasing the productivity and sustainable development for individuals and institutions, as well as its quick and effective response to the labour market’s requirements and changes.

HRH Premier also wished the new Tamkeen CEO every success.

Meanwhile, Tamkeen Board Chairman expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his directives aiming to increase Tamkeen’s economic presence and support to training programmes that rehabilitate national job-seekers to make them the best option in the labour market.

Moreover, Tamkeen CEO pledged that HRH the Prime Minister’s directives, especially regarding the training of the national workforce and supporting individuals and institutions, would be implemented.
