MERS: Bahrainis in S. Korea cautioned

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Bahraini citizens currently in South Korea to take caution due the outbreak of Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in the country.

The warning comes exactly two weeks after South Korean health officials confirmed the country's first case MERS in a male patient, who recently returned from Bahrain. The South Korean authorities stated that the 68-year-old man was in stable condition after being treated for a high fever and cough.

In a press statement issued the next day, Bahraini Health Ministry said that Bahrain remained MERS free.
