BCCI mulls ramping up Bahraini-Egyptian biz ties

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) stressed the importance of bolstering the Bahraini-Egyptian business ties and exploiting lucrative investment opportunities. It was noted in a news conference in Bait Al Tijjar between the Egyptian delegation and the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Business Council yesterday. 

Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Ms. Suha Refat and a number of administrative and executive figures of BCCI attended.

Board member and head of the Bahraini side of the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Business Council Ms. Afnan Al Zayani expressed optimism about the prospect of the business relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt, particularly in light of the keenness of both countries’ leadership to bolster ties at all levels. 

Ms. Al Zayani added: “The current volume of trade between both countries amounted to 52.5 million U.S dollars up to November 2015 according to Bahrain Central Informatics Organization (CIO). We at the council aim to cement local business owners to their Egyptian counterparts in a bid to bolster business relations and invigorate the national economies of both countries.”

 The Egyptian delegation will hold joint business council’s meetings, B2B meetings and visit a number of government and official bodies in the Kingdom.  Ms. Al Zayani also pointed about that the meetings would include presentations by Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Tamkeen, and Bahrain Investors Centre.

Head of the Egyptian side of the Bahraini-Egyptian joint business council Engr. Mohammed Al Suaidi expressed confidence in the outcomes of the joint venture, hailing the keenness of both leaderships in stepping up collaborations and the strides of the BCCI.
