BRC holds first aid lectures
Manama : First Aid Committee of Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development, has organized a series of awareness lectures on first aid for parents, the elderly and pensioners.
The lectures were held in Isa Town Cultural Center, Dar Al-Manar Parental Care Society and Abdulrahman Kanoo Social Club for Parents.
Legal nurse Hassan Sulaiman Al-Nuaimi gave a detailed explanation of types of first aid for the elderly, means of treating cases of bleeding, fractures and wounds, as well as cases of low and high blood sugar and sunstroke, and other cases.
He said that the lectures come within the community partnership between ministries and civil society institutions to provide a suitable environment for the elderly.
