Potential to attract global firms highlighted

Manama: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, said that owing to its great potentials and sound position as a financial hub, the Kingdom of Bahrain had attracted global
firms.

“The excellent reputation in the field and the fast-paced progress of its diversified financial sector are also major factors,” Shaikh Khalid remarked during his meeting with Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein, the LGT Board Chairman, at his office here yesterday.

The Minister discussed with Prince Philipp ways of ramping up ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Liechtenstein. He also hailed LGT’s great progress.

Meanwhile, Prince Philipp noted the importance of developing Bahrain-Liechtenstein relations and the GCC-European ties in all fields.

During the meeting, which also touched on a number of issues of mutual interest, the Prince affirmed LGT’s keenness to reinforce its activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain to better benefit from the existing variety of opportunities in the financial sector and to meet joint interests.
