Bahrainisation: ARG hires 50 women

Al Rashid Group yesterday organised a recruitment drive for Bahraini women, who opt for part-time employment. Fifty Bahraini female employees were hired as part of this initiative.

Minister of Labour and Social Development Jameel Humaidan presided over the contract signing of the new employees and encouraged them at the event held at Oasis Mall in East Riffa.

Speaking at the event, Al Rashid Group Chief Operating Officer Vikas Attri said: “We are very proud to hire the local talent, especially Bahraini female employees. They are valuable assets to our organisation. They are an important pillar in our growth strategy and I am delighted to see their passion, integrity and discipline that they bring in to work.”

“Al Rashid Group’s constant endeavour is to recruit, train and develop Bahraini nationals for employment. We believe that the local youth in Bahrain has tremendous potential, skills and talent. The existing Bahraini nationals in the company have proven to be highly successful, disciplined and hard working,” he said.

“Al Rashid Group believes in providing a great working milieu and learning environment for the local talent.  To provide them great flexibility and strike a good work life balance, ARG - under the guidance of Ministry of Labour - has introduced a scheme to hire part-time Bahraini women. This will allow the employees having families or undergoing education to work with us,” Attri added.

Al Rashid Group Human Resources Head Sachin Dutta remarked: “Apart from hiring, we put tremendous focus on skill building and developing the human capital of Bahraini talent. We have Bahrainis in leadership positions at our group. We will continuously strive for career progression of these newly-hired employees as well.”
