Dead expat’s family calls for fair probe
Manama: The family of an Indian expat, who died under suspicious circumstances, has demanded for a proper investigation into the cause of his death.
Manel Vayal Kuni Dineshan (46) died on February 18 in a hotel bar in Manama. Demanding a fair investigation, his wife Shyni has submitted a complaint to the Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Kerala State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and the Indian Embassy in Bahrain.
Suspecting foul play in the death, his relatives had requested a second autopsy in India, which was done on February 24 at Calicut Medical College. Dineshan was working as an office boy in a private law firm in Bahrain. According to the people, who washed the dead body in Salmaniya Medical Complex hospital, there were wounds and fracture on his head.
