UAE delegation visits elderly care facilities
Manama : A 50-member delegation of representatives of UAE elderly care associations yesterday visited elderly care facilities and heritage sites in Bahrain, in cooperation with the Good Word Society.
The delegation, led by the Director of the Sharjah Social Services Abdulrahman Al Darmaki, also held a meeting with Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan.
The Minister lauded the solid deep-rooted Bahrain-UAE relations, commending the efforts of the Good Word Society and its Honorary President Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa in organising visits for the GCC delegations.
Al Darmaki and members of the delegation thanked the Minister for facilitating their visit to Bahrain’s heritage and tourism sites and social facilities.
They added that they had been informed about Bahrain’s experience in providing care for the elderly.
