Ostrich on road sparks surprise, panic in Sehla

An ostrich that escaped from its shelter ran through a busy road recently, sparking surprise and panic among the residents of Sehla.

While no information about its owner was available, the bird was reportedly a full-grown adult.

The incident, which reportedly took place on Friday, was caught on camera by a resident.

The video showed the bird running back and forth, followed by a group of children, and some adults trying to stop it.

The video also showed a man blocking the ostrich’s path, forcing it to go in a different direction.

However, it is not clear whether they were able to guide the bird back to its owner.

The incident prompted mixed reactions from the residents.

While many found the video funny, others pointed out how dangerous it was for the residents and also for the bird.

“How sick! This poor ostrich is taken away from it’s natural home to be treated like this. Makes my blood boil,” a netizen commented on a Bahraini forum.

“I hope the bird is safe and is being looked after well. The incident was dangerous, not only for the bird but also for the residents, especially the kids who were following it. A kick from an ostrich could be fatal,” a resident stated.
