NPRA receives F1 visa applications
Manama : Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) started, since the beginning of this month, receiving F1 visa applications.
NPRA said that 113 nationalities are eligible to obtain the F1 visa though the internet (www.evisa.gov.bh). And 66 other nationalities, as well as GCC residents can obtain the F1 visa on arrival at Bahrain entry points.
Sponsored F1 visas can be pre-arranged by the sponsor and obtained at NPRA headquarters in Manama.
NPRA explained that F1 visa applicants, at the time of application, must be outside of Bahrain. The applicant must produce a valid F1 ticket, proof of purchase or identification showing the passenger is officially associated with the F1 event in Bahrain. He/ She must carry a valid passport for the length of stay in Bahrain, and must not have a spouse or children added to his/ her passport.
The F1 visa holder will be eligible for a multiple-entry visa valid for use exclusively during the period from 20 March - 3 April 2016, and will be valid for two weeks from the date of entry to the UK, which cannot be extended. The F1 visa will not be stamped in the passport, instead the visitor will be provided with a letter showing the prior approval of granting the F1 visa, or the sponsor's visa invitation letter.
The F1 visa holders, upon arrival, will be requested to be directed to fast-track lanes at the airport solely dedicated for passports and immigration procedures related to F1.
NPRA called on F1 visa holders to abide by operative laws and must not violate security procedures.
The visa holders must not take any type of employment when in Bahrain.
They be capable of supporting themselves and their associates while in Bahrain.
