Ford launches first ME certified pre-owned programme
Ford Motor Company announced it has launched its first certified Ford Approved programme in the Middle East, which provides a comprehensive testing process before a pre-owned Ford vehicle can be sold to a new customer. The programme, which debuts in Bahrain, also guarantees each vehicle is refurbished to the highest standards, a statement by the company said.
“Ford Approved is a great way for customers to choose a pre-owned Ford vehicle”, said Sandeep Mathur, general manager, Almoayyed Motors, the Ford importer-dealer in Bahrain.
“Every vehicle that is sold under the Ford Approved brand undergoes a strict certification process before it can be considered as ‘Ford Approved’. Not all vehicles pass this test, which simply means the customer is getting a vehicle that is of a certain quality, providing our customers in Bahrain greater peace of mind and value for money,” he added.
Vehicles that are accepted on the Ford Approved programme must be: a Ford vehicle, have a Ford service history, be a maximum five model years old, have completed less than 100,000 kilometres, and most importantly, have passed a rigorous 164 multipoint inspection. Every vehicle is also refurbished to strict Ford Approved standards, which enables Ford to drastically improve a customer’s experience when buying a pre-owned vehicle.
The Ford Approved promise includes a Ford Approved warranty, two-year service package, 164 multipoint inspection, 30-day exchange guarantee, history check and complete peace of
mind.
“Introducing the Ford Approved programme demonstrates our loyalty to Ford customers, whether they are a private or fleet buyer,” said Ian Batey, Fleet director of Ford Middle East and Africa.
“We have an impressive roll out plan for the region, with Ford Approved to be made available in all Middle East and African markets by the end of 2016,” he added.
