Fadi Humaidan attends workshop in Doha

Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Human Resources head Fadi Humaidan recently attended a workshop themed ‘Save the Dream’ held in Doha, also attended by representatives of other GCC National Olympic Committees.

It brought up a number of subjects at the gathering with committees presenting its contributions to empowering the youth and promoting sports ideals and values.

Humaidan presented BOC’s various initiatives and plans carried out in recent years such as the Mini School Olympics and the Sports Day, which were admired by the
attendees.

The meeting also highlighted the challenges of the international community such as wars, multiplicity of nationalities while exchanging views on ways of bringing back hope through sport, promoting voluntary work and nominating Olympic heroes as ambassadors of sports.

The International Centre for Sport Security will submit its recommendation on this workshop to the Qatar Olympic Committee, which in turn will present it to the Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council to take necessary action.

Worth noting is that the initiative “Save the Dream” is one of the most important fruits of cooperation between the Qatar Olympic Committee and the International Centre for Sport Security, and seeks to reform the sports system among children and instilling many sports concepts in an attempt to make a quantum leap in the field of sports and create a crime-free sports society.
