Bahraini women entrepreneurs honoured
Manama: Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Chairwoman HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa yesterday stressed on the importance of economic empowerment for women as a prerequisite to achieve family stability and boost the welfare of Bahraini people.
HRH Princess Sabeeka was speaking as she handed over the Bahraini Female Entrepreneur Honour Seal for Bahraini woman entrepreneurs aged under 45.
The award aims to honour outstanding females in the entrepreneurship field and encourage them to promote the spirit of initiative and creativity and enhance women’s economic empowering so as to achieve the national women’s empowerment programme and shed light on Bahrain’s new investment and economic sectors.
HRH Princess Sabeeka also praised the efforts of the partners of SCW in promoting national economy and supporting young entrepreneurs.
The second edition of the award went to Nada and Noor Alawi Shaber on “Al Nada” project, which produces high quality silk veils.
The “Mobile Spa and the Beauty” project of Dina Ibrahim Al Ansari and Souha Hassan Sawan also won the award. Their enterprise is a mobile beauty salon, which uses high quality and hygienic products.
The third winning project is Sima Rashid Al Menai’s “So Sweet” that manufactures Bahraini chocolates and sweets with an international flavour and other specific characteristics.
