RCO donates toys to Syrian children in refugee camps
A delegation from the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) visited Jordan to be informed about the developmental and educational projects conducted by the - Bahrain for the Syrian refugees inside and outside the camps.
Words Bookstore Café, owned by Rana Al Jalahma and Eileen Abuhamad, donated intellectual and developmental toys for the Syrian children, and the shipment was delivered to Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO).
The delegation visited the Zaatari refugee camp, Bahrain Scientific Complex, Bahrain Residential Complex in Al-Azraq Camp and Bahrain Girls School in Irbid, which is the first school in the Middle East that uses solar heating system.
RCO Chairperson of Guidance Centre Amina Sultan Al Binali said the Bahraini delegation spent a day at Bahrain Scientific Complex and provided a developmental and guidance programme for students.
The programme aims to build capacities and expression of patriotism by using drawing and colouring.
The delegation also paid a visit to JHCO Secretary-General Ayman Riyad Al Mufleh, who appreciated the Bahraini people for their generous donations.
Rana Al Jalahma expressed her delight with the level of the Bahraini projects and the number of the students and called on the Bahraini people to help and support the refugees.
RCO delegation comprised Words Bookstore Café Owner Rana Al Jalahma, Lamees Alhassar, RCO Chairperson of Guidance Centre Amina Sultan Al Binali and RCO Head of Programmes and Activities Alaa Budalama.
