Housing Ministry allocates 44 units

Manama : Forty-four units have been allocated as part of the 2nd phase of Sanad Housing project. The allocated units benefited the eligible recipients on the waiting list in the Capital Governorate, taking into account the date of submitting applications.

Housing Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for housing policies and services Dr. Khalid Al-Hidan said that all the construction and infrastructure works have been completed, paving the way for the second phase to be allocated.

The recipients reported to the ministry to conduct the electronic draw and obtain the required documents, prior to concluding contract and financial procedures and receiving the keys of their units. The recipients earlier attended video presentation detailing the e-drawing, the designs of the units and other procedures.

The allocation is in line with the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to distribute completed units as part of the massive project to build 40,000 with the few coming years and under the Government Action Plan (GAP) which envisages to construct 25,000 units. A total of 221 units have so far been distributed to eligible recipients as part of the Sanad housing project which features 265 units.
