BDF Chief inspects Bahrain contingent in North Thunder
Hafar Al-Batin : Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa inspected the BDF contingent taking part in the North Thunder military exercise. He was received by BDF taskforce commander Brigadier Khalid Salman Al-Maawda and other officers on the sidelines of their participation in the final North Thunder military maneuver in Hafar Al-Batin in North Saudi Arabia
The BDF Commander-in-Chief met the taskforce commander, officers and non-commissioned officers and servicemen and was briefed about the military exercise. He took pride in the BDF contingent, hailing their participation in North Thunder drill following royal directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
He commended the drill, which is the biggest and most important in the history of the region, judged by the number of countries, stressing its importance of the maneuver in enhancing competence and combat readiness.
He stressed the need to operate as a unified and efficient force to confront all threats endangering the region. He was accompanied by a number of senior BDF officers.
