Bahrain leadership congratulates new Arab League chief Ahmed Gheit

Manama : The Bahraini Leadership has congratulated the new Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit on his appointment for a five-year term.

HM the King

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa urged the new chief to enhance the performance of the Arab League towards achieving the aspirations of Arab States and people to overcome the current critical period, consolidate their stability and spur their growth.

HM the King affirmed unwavering support to the new chief to achieve all initiatives and translate ideas and visions towards strengthening pan-Arab relations, bolstering joint cooperation and consolidating coordination in dealing with all regional and international issues, conducive to a stronger Arab stance towards other countries and blocs in the world. 

HM the King recalled the stance of the new Arab League chief in support of Bahrain as well as keenness on strengthening deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, wishing him every success for the best of the Arab region. 

HRH Premier

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa wished the new Arab League chief all success to contribute to achieving the hopes and aspirations of the Arab region. 

HRH the Premier affirmed Bahrain’s support to the new Secretary-General to strengthen pan-Arab cooperation in all fields and ensure stability and prosperity for member states. 

HRH Crown Prince

Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also sent a congratulatory message to the new Arab League Secretary-General. 

HRH the Crown Prince lauded the new chief’s diplomatic expertise and affirmed Bahrain’s support to bolster pan-Arab relations.
