Bahraini woman murderer to learn fate in April
Manama : Court ruling will be issued on April 7 in the trial of a 31-year-old Bahraini woman accused of killing a Bahraini man. She is being tried by the High Criminal Court, for murder charges after the 57-year-old man was found dead in his Riffa apartment. According to court files, the woman killed him following a row in his apartment in March last year.
It reportedly occurred after he prevented her to leave from his apartment without having sex. It’s said that the woman shifted to his Riffa apartment after developing a relationship with him over phone.
The woman claimed during interrogations that their relationship grew after he had promised her to find her a new job.
“We would drink beer every time we meet in his apartment. We used to go to coffee shops. When we return to his apartment we have had sex,” the defendant said.
“I was insisting him to marry me, but he refused. On the day of the incident, I didn’t drink beer, but he got drunk. He asked me to have sex but I wanted to leave,” she added.
The 31-year-old woman is said to have broken the victim’s neck by snapping it with her hands. Her crime came to light after she had revealed it to another man, who in turn filed a complaint against her.
