Three men await verdict on April 3 in drug case
Manama : A verdict will be announced on April 3 in the trial of three Iranians, who have been captured while consuming illicit drugs in Bahrain. The trio, including a cook, a manager and an employee, were arrested following a tip-off to the Anti-Drugs Department at the Ministry of Interior. The information was that one of them was in possession of opium that was ready to be sold nationwide.
He was arrested, and the other two Iranian men were later nabbed after intense investigations into the case were carried out. Police seized cash and illicit drugs from them during a raid in their houses.
The trio are standing trial before the High Criminal Court and they have entered not guilty plea.
