Nasser bin Hamad honours GCC Endurance Championship winners

Manama : HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Honorary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) honoured the winners of the First GCC Endurance Championship, held in Bahrain International Endurance Village recently, in the presence of Dr. Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, General Secretary of the GCC and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of BREEF.

The championship’s podium was dominated by riders of the UAE Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Saif Al Mazroo’ey and Saeed Al Mahri, respectively.

They finished in 04:18:03, 04:18:04 and 04:18:06 time, with the speed of 27km/h. HH Shiakh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the success of the championship, attributing it to the constant support if His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

HH Shaikh Nasser expressed that the good performance shown at the race by the participants reflected the success of the event.
Dr. Al Zayani and the participants lauded the organisers for bringing out a successful event, that gained interaction and respect of equestrian sports enthusiasts in the region.
