Bahraini female entrepreneurship winners hail SCW
Manama: Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa said the second edition of the Bahraini Female Entrepreneur Honour Seal showed the importance of supporting young talent in the field of entrepreneurship.
Its winning projects were selected after several stages of interviews, field visits and accurate assessment.
Al Nada project
Nada and Noor Alawi Shaber sisters of ‘Al Nada’ project said the economic support system enjoyed by Bahraini women provided benefits of finance and non-discrimination, which enabled them an environment to excel and innovate in the field of business.
‘Al Nada’ project began in 2011 based on producing high quality traditional Arabic silk veils.
They said that their business is now expanding in New York City.
They also confirmed that their products were presented in international museums, exhibitions and a number of markets inside and outside Bahrain.
‘Mobile Spa & the Beauty’ project
Dina Al Ansari and Souha Hassan from the ‘Mobile Spa & the Beauty project’ expressed their honour in receiving their award.
They expressed gratitude for the encouragement they received from Supreme Council for Women.
The Mobile Spa & the Beauty was launched in 2009 and now has another branch in Dubai. They export their products to the Gulf, Maldives and Azerbaijan.
‘So Sweet’ project
So Sweet’s Sima Al Menai confirmed that the participation in the programme helped her develop her project that sells chocolate, sweets and flowers, which started five years ago with two branches in Moda Mall and Riffa.
She noted in particular that the competitiveness among entrepreneurs helped her to develop her businesses.
