ISB Gears up for school carnival

Manama : The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) held a colorful ceremony to launch the Entry-cum-Raffle ticket of the ISB Mega Fair and Food festival to be held on April 29 and 30  in the Isa Town campus of the school. The ISB Mega Fair and Food Festival presented by" Zayani Motors" is organized to collect funds for sponsoring the financially needy students as well as for staff welfare. The Indian School Chairman Prince S Natarajan inaugurated the ticket launching ceremony by handing over the first ticket to Master Constructions MD  Antony John in the presence of General Convener of the Fair G.K Nair, Principal   V.R Palaniswamy, SPAC WLL Chairman P Unnikrishnan and other community leaders and parents. ISB fair will be one of the biggest school carnivals in the GCC countries with students organizing a special exhibition with the UNESCO theme ‘sustainable development’.  Prince S Natarajan told DT News that this time there will be a special section for IT enabled study materials exhibition in the Jashanmal auditorium. 

The launch was attended by school  Secretary Dr. Shemily P John,   Vice Chairman   Muhammed Iqbal,   Asst. Secretary Dr. Manoj P,   Member Academics   Khursheed Alam,   Member Finance   Ramachandran S K,   Member IT   Saji Anthony,   Member Transport   Bhupinder Singh,   Member Sports   Jayafar Maidani and Staff Representative   Priya Laji. Representatives of various Sponsors were also present in the function.  

The ISB Mega Fair theme song and promo videos were also  released. Ambitious plans for the Mega Fair and Food Festival were also unveiled. The Indian School appealed the community to come forward to support this noble cause  and be a part of this carnival. The first prize winner of the Mega draw to be held on April 30,   will take home a Zayani Motors sponsored Mitsubishi Outlander.

The main attractions of the event are the musical programmes led by   Indian film actor and singer Vineeth Sreenivasan on the first day and Bollywood singer Shilpa Rao and Meiyang Chang on the second day of the fair.   The two-day carnival will witness various entertainment programmes like food festival, electronic expo stalls from various organisations and grand a grand exhibition by the students.    The entry fee for the Mega Fair is BD 2.  The overall conduct of the fair will be coordinated by General Convener G.K Nair and conveners Leni P Mathew, Benny  Varkey, M.S Mohan Kumar,Shaji Karthikeyan and Moideen Pazhoor.
