eGovernment portal gets bigger, better

Manama: The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) has announced the completion of adding 22 eServices on the revamped national eGovernment portal bahrain.bh.

The revamped page, according to iGA, features several newly added features to improve user experience in addition to enhancement for five other services.

The authority, in its statement, also said it has ensured the compatibility of these eServices on various electronic devices and is preparing to announce the new batch of services being launched starting next month. 

The revamped portal currently enables beneficiaries to utilise nine customs clearance services presented by the Ministry of Interior, along with 13 Hajj services offered to Hajj agents by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf.

The improved batch of services also comprises the new traffic law that was added into the ‘Payment of Traffic Contraventions’ service page, alongside the new terms and conditions of the licence renewal, vehicle registration and payment of traffic contraventions. Users are also capable of viewing the total number of points charged on their accounts, across the feature ‘My Transactions’- available in the service.

The ‘Travel Ban’ service has also been revamped by offering it in English, along with the enhancement of the ‘Courts and Cases Services’ by providing the features of attaching documents and sending requests to various Execution Courts. Besides, revamping the services ‘Gasoline Octane Inquiry App’ and the ‘eAstronomy’ by introducing the daily phenomena.

In this regard, iGA Vice CE Dr. Zakareya Ahmed AlKhaja said that the authority is in the process of completing the development of all the services as well as transferring them from the old portal to the new one.
