EXHIBITION

Venue: Al Riwaq Art Space
‘Views’ an on-going exhibition featuring the work of over 50 local and international artists is open to the public until March 16 at the Ritz Carlton, Bahrain. Organized in collaboration with the Bahrain Art Society and ArtBahrain, ‘Views’ will present a selection of work from the Bahrain Art Society, Al Riwaq Art Space, ArtBahrain and Al Bareh Art Gallery, each of whom have long played a pivotal role in the art scene in Bahrain.
‘Views’ aims to celebrate and exemplify the unique and diverse artistic community in Bahrain.
GLASS PAINTING WORKSHOP
Date: Monday, 14 March, 10am to 1.30pm
Venue: The Art House
A glass painting workshop targeting
beginners with hands on instructions will be held at the Art House on Monday, 14 March from 10.30am to 1.30pm. The participants can choose from glass plate with stand or glass with wooden frame to create a beautiful painting. All the required material and equipment will be supplied. Pre-registration at the Art House is required before 13th March.
RADIO & TELEVISION 14th GULF FESTIVAL
Date: 14 to 17 March at 8pm Venue: Gulf Hotel & Convention Centre
The 14th GULF RADIO AND TELEVISION FESTIVAL will be held in Kingdom of Bahrain from 14th - 17th March, 2016 at Gulf Hotel & Convention Centre, Bahrain. The Gulf Radio and Television Production Festival is the first television festival in the Arab World.
It represents a major media gathering that brings together prominent officials and executive responsible for Arab radio and television networks and a selected array of famous radio and television stars in the Gulf Arab world.
DISNEY LIVE ! MICKEY’S MUSIC FESTIVAL
Date: 15 to 19th March 2016 Venue: Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Centre
Mickey Mouse and his band of friends, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy will be performing in a music mash-up of mega proportions when Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival debuts in Bahrain from 15th top 19th March. Concert goers will hear greatest hits from the blockbuster movies, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story remixed to rock, pop, reggae, hip-hop, jazz and country, among other jams. Produced by Feld Entertainment in partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival strives to be
the biggest concert experience to hit live family entertainment.
SLEEPING CATS
Date: 16th March to 25th April Venue: BuSaad Art Gallery
An imaginative art exhibition by Bahraini artist Ebrahim BuSaad containing works drawn over a period of 3 years that explore the basic themes of infidelity and betrayal, all of which are inspired by the famously fickle nature of cats as well as the artist’s own memories of growing up in the close-knit community and unique architecture of Old Muharraq.
EVENING BAZAAR
Date: Wednesday, March 16, 7pm to 9pm
Venue: Dilmun Club
Dilmun club Bahrain hosts an Evening Bazaar on Wednesday, March 16 from 7pm to 9pm. The bazaar will comprise of art jewellery, furniture, toys, food, clothing, shoes, antiques, candles, home decor and artisan products. Entrance is free for members, BD 1 reciprocal and BD2 for guest/ non members.
LEILA EL KEBIRA
Date: 17th to 18th March at 8pm Venue: Cultural Hall
Considered one of colloquial poet Salah Jaheen’s greatest works, “El-Leila El-Kebira” (meaning “The Big Night”) follows a number of colourful characters as they attend the popular celebrations of walis (holy people) commonly held across Egypt, all told in an honest and humorous style that also incorporates Arab and Western music ensembles and song. The performers will also perform pieces from several ballet acts.
FREE - ONE DAY MANAGEMENT OF HSE SESSION
Date : Thursday, 17 March at 9am Venue: Seef Bahrain
A FREE One Day Management of HSE session led by HSE Discipline manager, Stephen Asbury will be held in Seef Bahrain on Thursday, 17 March from 9am to 2.30pm for all senior HSE staff as well as people in learning and development roles who are involved in rolling out engaging HSE training initiatives.

CARMEN SECONDO L’ORCHESTRA DI PIAZZA VITTORIO

Al Riwaq Art Space will host the Green Caravan Festival from March 17 to 18. The specially curated programme will include a variety of cultural activities, such as Middle Eastern Shorts along with a powerful international feature length documentary, complimented by discussion panels and Q&A sessions.

Bahrain’s biggest Holi bash titled Balam Pichkari: Color Festival 2016 will take place at your favourite waterpark The Lost Paradise of Dilmun on Friday 18th March 6 (10 am – 6 pm).
