Bahrain aims to become No:1 dining destination
Manama: Innovation is the key to a country’s success. With increasing number of dining venues across the island, Bahrain is redefining itself as a regional go-to culinary destination.
One of the oldest and most popular areas for dining and tourism, “Adliya Block 338” district, hosts entertainment, cultural and food bazaars; and constantly contributes towards a brighter Bahrain with its ongoing activities. Inimitable in the region, the dining atmosphere in Adliya is a distinct trademark for hospitality and tourism, but what else is on offer in Bahrain’s dining scene?
As the Kingdom of Bahrain innovates and progresses, one of the most interesting new projects is Bahrain Bay, with a host of exciting dining and entertainment options already in existence, and many more expected in the near future. Bahrain Bay is a dynamic district, surrounded by alluring sea views and breathtaking architecture. The development with its unique skyscrapers has already cemented its place in the Kingdom as an iconic landmark.
One of the most recognisable buildings at the bay is home to the world-renowned Four Seasons Hotel, the epitome of opulent dining and accommodations. Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay boasts amongst its seven restaurants three eateries by international celebrity chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck. For gastronomes in Bahrain and further afield, Puck’s restaurants are proving an irresistible attraction.
Perhaps the best known of Puck’s restaurants is the critically acclaimed CUT, generally recognised as one of the best steak restaurants in the world. Bahrain joins some of the world’s culinary capitals - Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, London, Singapore and Dubai - in the line-up of CUT restaurants. Diners in Bahrain’s CUT enjoy a remarkable experience in a lively indoor/outdoor restaurant with an open kitchen, providing guests the opportunity to see the culinary artists create their dinner in front of their
eyes.
Diners entering CUT are stunned by the outstanding views across Manama through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Chic chandeliers hang from above, lighting up the restaurant stylishly decorated with a selection of fine woods and tasteful furniture in earthy tones. This signature restaurant has quickly gained a stellar culinary reputation and found a comfortable footing in Bahrain with its extraordinary combination of cuisine, service and atmosphere.
Today Puck is known as a Michelin-starred chef and TV personality, honoured with multiple industry awards for Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year and many more. A leader in his craft, Puck has changed the way many chefs cook by mixing classic French techniques with Californian and Asian influences.
re/Asian Cuisine, Puck’s second restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, provides a totally different experience to CUT. Located on the 50th floor of the hotel, re/Asian Cuisine’s elegant art deco-inspired design and spectacular views of the Manama skyline attract gourmands from across the region. The menu features Puck’s signature, modern take on traditional Asian cuisine inspired by his travels in the Far East.
Next to re/Asian Cuisine, Blue Moon Lounge by Wolfgang Puck creates yet another type of epicurean experience. This Moroccan design-inspired bar and lounge offers a splendid space for guests to enjoy beautiful sunsets and glittering lights above the bay whilst relaxing on the unusual serpentine boa couches. The bar menu features Asian delights perfected by a wide selection of exclusive beverages.
The introduction of celebrity chef signature restaurants in Bahrain opens opportunities for further growth in the dining scene on the island and attracts more fine restaurants to come along. The kingdom’s current pace of development endorses Bahrain’s status as an upcoming, ultimate tourist destination in the region, offering culinary travellers a choice from top luxury dining restaurants, unique concepts to local food. With the inclusion of Puck’s restaurants, Bahrain has found its status elevated as a top dining destination in the region.
